Alpha 1.3.0 (5) is available to approved testers. Request access first, then opt into the Play test. Your 14-day period starts at Play opt-in, not when you request access.

Request tester access privately

Email the address below with the subject SyncPoint closed test. Include the Google account email you use in the Play Store, your device model and Android version, your country, and confirmation that you are age 18 or older. No date of birth or ID is needed.

This opens your email composer; nothing is sent automatically. Wait for confirmation that your account has access to the existing tester email list. Keep account addresses out of public comments.

After access is confirmed, open the supplied closed-test opt-in link using that same Google account. Choose Become a tester and confirm that you have joined.

Being on the email list gives access. The separate Google Play opt-in enrolls you in the test.

Install and open SyncPoint

Follow the supplied Google Play download link. Confirm the app is SyncPoint and install it. Start onboarding with Keep on device. No SyncPoint account is needed. Use Google Play for later test updates.

If you already have journal data or an older development build, ask for help before uninstalling or clearing storage. An installation error is not a reason to delete your journal.

Try the app and send feedback

  • Create 3–5 harmless sample entries with triggers, matching events, time gaps and tags.
  • Explore Home, Timeline and Stats. Edit an entry, reopen the app and restart the phone to check that the entries remain.
  • Try the keyboard and large system text. Report confusing navigation, empty states or crashes.
  • If comfortable, try export and the import preview using sample data. Optional cloud analysis requires separate consent; review the disclosure first, use a sample entry, then disable it and check local insights again.
  • For a bug: include device/Android version, app version, steps, expected result and actual result. Redact screenshots.

Let us know your tester alias, opt-in time with timezone, and whether installation worked. Do not share private journal content. Local insights work offline; cloud analysis is optional and off until you agree.

Stay opted in for 14 full days

Please remain enrolled in the closed test, keep SyncPoint installed and return for a few short sessions. Suggested check-ins are around days 3, 7 and 14, plus after a relevant fix.

That schedule is our testing plan. If you leave the Play test and later rejoin, your continuous enrollment period restarts. We will confirm the agreed end of the test.

Participation is voluntary. Let us know if you need to stop. No public rating or positive review is requested.

Having trouble joining?

Google Play says I’m not eligible

Check that your browser and Play Store use the exact Google account approved for tester access. The test is available in 177 selected countries/regions for adults age 18+ with compatible Android devices. We will confirm availability for your country when you request access. Send the exact error to the feedback address.

I joined, but the app is still unavailable

Alpha is available to approved accounts. Access changes may need several hours to propagate. Ask the owner to confirm that your exact Play account is on the tester list. If you were in SyncPoint’s internal test, tell the owner so they can help you switch to the closed test without deleting app data.

I see a payment prompt

This release is free, with no ads or purchases. Do not pay to join; report the prompt and check that you followed the supplied SyncPoint Google Play link.

How do I leave or remove my data?

Use Leave the program on the Play opt-in page and let the owner know you have stopped. Delete individual sample entries through My Entries. For all local data, export anything you want to keep before using Android Settings → Apps → SyncPoint → Storage → Clear storage, or uninstalling; this deletion is permanent. Email the feedback address to request removal of recruitment contact details or submitted feedback. See the data deletion guide for other records.

Share only what is needed to explain a problem. Read the privacy policy before entering personal data or enabling optional cloud features.
